They mailed me a $10 check last month (for 1 survey) I would have gotten the money sooner, but I didn't realize that I had to log in and request the check to be mailed. So they are a legitimate survey company. Unfortunately most surveys are for sweeps entries of for small cash prizes and of course most of them you have to qualify for. But hey, $10 is $10! I ain't complaining.

Michelle Singletary
I decided to watch "Singletary Says" on TVOne today to see what it was all about. Today's show was about PayDay/Title Loans and Rent to Own companies. Singletary discussed the ridiculous fees they charge (anywhere from 300 - 1,000%!!!)

I am soooo very happy she discussed this because in black neighborhoods they are PayDay/Title Loan shops between nearly every building. She discussed how they are preying on African American's in low income areas. It was saddening. But enlightening and I hope a bunch of African American's checked this particular subject today.

As far as Rent to Own places, I would NEVER use those types of companies. I'd rather charge it (still not something I suggest, as i owe $700 to Sears for a $300 tv I bought nearly 3 years ago.)

One of my family members are one of the sad stories where someone spends more than they make to "keep up with others."

She bought a huge, beautiful home. No income, recently retired, living off of SSI. Then she furnished it with Rent to Own furniture. One particular thing was a white leather sofa and loveseat set and some fancy end tables, lamps and coffee table for what they call down south a "sitting room." Which I found hilarious because no one really sits on white leather. Needless to say, she spent thousands of dollars for furniture that she ended up having to give back because she couldn't afford it.

My problem is people do these things to get something they can't afford at the time. So of course their are companies more than willing to "help you out" for a hefty fee. But the people that know damn well they don't need a white leather sofa for show don't impress me.

It's sad that their are some individuals that really need something (such as a loan to pay for electricity or food for their children) and they get screwed over by these companies and end up worse off than they started.

Not sure where this came from, but it's inspiring.

Money is magnetic energy. You are a magnet attracting to you all things, via the signal you are emitting through your thoughts and feelings.

To become a powerful money magnet:

* Be clear about the amount of money you want to receive. State it and intend it!
* (not how much you can earn, but how much you want to receive).
* Fall in love with money. (most people do not love money, because they don't have enough of it).
* Visualize and imagine yourself spending all the money you want, as though you have it already.
* Speak, act and think from the mindset of being wealthy now.
* (eliminate thoughts and words of lack such as "I can't afford it", "It is too expensive".
* Do not speak or think of the lack of money for a single second.
* Be grateful for the money you have. Appreciate it as you touch it.
* Make lists of all the things you will buy with an abundance of money.
* Do whatever it takes for you to feel wealthy.
* Affirm to yourself every day that you have an abundance of money, and that it comes to you effortlessly.
* Appreciate all the riches around you, including the riches of others. Look for wealth wherever you go, and appreciate it.
* Be certain that money is coming to you.
* Love yourself and know that you are deserving and worthy of an abundance of money.
* Remind yourself everyday that you are a money magnet, and ask yourself often during the day, am I attracting money now or pushing it away with my thoughts.
* Always, always pay yourself first from your wage, then pay your creditors.
* (in that single act, you are telling the Universe that you are worthy and deserving of more).
* Repeat over and over every day, "I am a money magnet and money comes to me effortlessly and easily".
* Write out a check to yourself for the sum of money you would like to have and carry it in your wallet. Look at it often.
* Do whatever it takes to feel good. The emotions of joy and happiness are powerful money magnets. Be happy now!
* Love yourself!

Wealth is a mindset. Money is literally attracted to you or repelled from you. It's all about how you think."

Now, I don't consider myself a very superstious (or however you spell it) person. But there is one thing I have been doing for about 3-4 years now.

Every year I write myself out a check. I can't even remember where I heard about this. But the scenario behind it is that if you write yourself the check and keep it in your wallet, you will have... abundance.

Does it work? Yes! Will it make you a millionaire? Possibly. For me, I swear to you, every year since i've written that check out in January, I have always somehow managed to come up with the money to pay for everything I need (empahsis: need, not want.)

Sure, I'm not a millionaire, but to me abundance is much more than a fat wallet. It can be food. It can be a roof over my head. Transportation, etc.

So if you're interested, here is what you do...

Get a clean blank check. Write it out to yourself (your FULL name). Date it for today. Where you usually write the dollar amount in numbers, leave it empty. Same as where you usually write out the amount, leave that part empty. In the Memo part write "Paid In Full." In the Signature Area sign "Law of Abundance." Place it in your wallet and watch the magic happen.

Of course I suggest intention manifestation as a part of the process as well. Because if your thoughts are negative about money, they will ultimately defeat that nicely written checks purpose.

I also have another check written to myself for $1,000,000 and I look at it often, knowing that one day I will be able to cash it. I wrote it on 12/14/2006 to be yet another reinforcement of the Million $ Experiment.

If you worry about the check being in your wallet, fold it up to make it look like a scrap of paper and put it in one of the hidden pockets. I believe the main thing is to have it in your wallet because this is to attract abundance to your wallet :) Good luck!

For starters, posting takes waaaaaay longer to do. Then I can't access a lot of sites, especially sites with tons of images or flash. bleh. But I try to keep positive and not let that conquer my positive thoughts. Anyone got a notebook they wanna donate to my cause? :)

I'm still having an issue seperating my Got Wealth blog from my personal site, so bare with me. But I've been so busy doing other things. I have submitted a total of 17 tips. 16 of which have been accepted and three have been posted. If your really nifty, you can make a killing submitting tips.

Just remember, submit as many as you can because if someone else posts a similar tip first, theirs will get accepted and yours rejected. Anyone else have any luck with this site as well? Or any other site for that matter?

Happy Holidays. Have a safe and prosperous New Year!

They pay with PayPal, check or you can choose an organization to donate it to. I suggest submitting as many as you can in one day because you never know which will be accepted.
Current Debt - $35,074.56

Since I'm being so honest, I went through ALL of my paperwork and looked for ALL of my debts. I found good ones (student loans) and bad ones. I also found personal loans that I intend on paying back (even though those people never once said I had to.)

So my current debt is: $35,074.56

I know that's WAY higher than my previous approximate; but I hadn't added in my student loans and monies people had given me that I want to pay back even though it was meant as a blessing (some was for mouth surgery and some to pay off a credit card where I was getting threatened to be taken to court.)

I am at a better place mentally/emotionally in my life (then before the crazy spending), so now I can see where I am financially more clearly, without judgment. I take responsibility for the financial mistakes I have made and am willing to work on chopping down the debt tree and building wealth.

I haven't written down what I owe for everything in a little over a year. Then I owed approx $15,000. I currently owe about $13,000. I will update the numbers to be exact when I sit down and get to it.

I would be down an additional $800, but after paying off 2 store cards I got new store card (I needed clothes when I got promoted to a management postion and paid it off every month, but fell into unemployment so there is still a balance) and a visa (for emergencies and to build positive credit history.)

Though I still owe that amount of money, my credit is better than it was because I was paying my bills religiously every month up until the job loss. I had even finally started a savings account (which REALLY came in handy at the job loss.)

I am temporarily without an income, but feel more financially healthy then ever before. Sure, I have my concerns. But I no longer stay up till 4am worrying about where the money will come from. I just have FAITH and KNOW the money is coming.

I just sold some stock I had in a company I used to work for. I sold 7 shares and kept 5 because I believe that was the best decision.

I have about $8 in checking $12 in savings. A $25 Visa card and $25 more on the way. The stock was worth about $200 and that will be put in checking to pay some bills. I've been doing a lot of paid surveys and blogging. No actual payments yet, but the numbers keep going up so I'm staying positive.

My plan: use every resource I can to make a living without going back to a regular job (unless it's something part time, as I am a workaholic and allow full time gigs to wear me out.) I like variety and the jobs I've had in the past don't allow me to be as creative as I would like to be. Wish me luck!
